Cyprus Removed from Russian Black List
On 1st January 2013
Cyprus has been removed from the Russian black list. This removal has
been one of the changes that were brought about by the Protocol to the
Double Tax Treaty signed between Russia and Cyprus on 7th October 2010.
The
removal of Cyprus from the Russian black list has a great meaning for
Cyprus. This would mean that dividends received by Russian companies
from Cyprus subsidiaries can qualify for the Russian dividend
participation exemption.
